Community Guidelines
Standards of conduct for buyers, sellers, and members of the community.
1. Welcome to Helix Equine IQ
Welcome to Helix Equine IQ — an AI-powered equine analytics, community, and marketplace platform built for everyone who is passionate about horses. Whether you are a seasoned breeder with decades of experience, a rancher managing a large operation, a buyer searching for your next great horse, or a trainer working to develop elite athletes, Helix Equine IQ is designed to serve you with cutting-edge data tools and a community you can count on.
Our mission is to bring transparency, accuracy, and intelligence to the equine industry — connecting people, horses, and data in ways that were never before possible. We harness AI-driven analytics to help you make better decisions about breeding, purchasing, training, and performance, while giving you a marketplace and community that reflects the values the equine world is built on: integrity, transparency, animal welfare, and excellence.
These Community Guidelines exist to protect those values. They set the expectations for how every member of this community engages with one another, with the platform, and with the animals at the heart of everything we do. They are not a list of restrictions — they are a shared commitment.
These Guidelines work alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. In the event of any conflict between these Guidelines and the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service shall govern. We encourage you to review all three documents so you have a complete picture of your rights, responsibilities, and how we handle your information. Cross-references to those documents are included throughout these Guidelines where relevant.
Thank you for being part of the Helix Equine IQ community. Let's build something extraordinary together.
2. Who These Guidelines Apply To
These Community Guidelines apply to all individuals and entities who access or use the Helix Equine IQ platform, regardless of account type, subscription tier, or location. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Horse breeders and breeding operations
- Ranchers and farm operators
- Buyers and prospective purchasers
- Sellers of horses, embryos, genetic materials, and equipment
- Trainers and equine professionals
- Data contributors providing equine information to the platform
- Visitors browsing the platform without a registered account (to the > extent applicable)
These Guidelines apply to all areas and features of the Helix Equine IQ platform, including:
- Marketplace listings for horses, embryos, genetics, equipment, and > related services
- Direct messaging and buyer-seller communications
- Community forums, discussion boards, and comment sections
- User profile pages and public bios
- Interactions with AI analytics tools and features
- Reviews, ratings, and feedback submitted by users
- Data submissions and contributions to the platform's equine > database
By accessing or using the platform in any capacity, you agree to abide by these Guidelines. Your continued use of the platform following any updates to these Guidelines constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. See Section 14 for information about updates.
3. Our Core Community Values
Everything we do at Helix Equine IQ is grounded in a set of core values that we expect all community members to reflect in their conduct. These values are not aspirational slogans — they are the practical foundation of how we interact with one another and with the animals we care for.
We expect all members of this community to operate with complete honesty in everything they do on the platform. This means providing accurate information in your listings, truthful data in your submissions, and straightforward communication in your interactions. Misrepresentation — whether about a horse's health, age, bloodlines, performance record, or any other material fact — undermines the trust that makes this community function. Integrity is non-negotiable.
The equine industry is a diverse, passionate, and sometimes fiercely competitive world. That is what makes it vibrant. But competition and strong opinions must never be an excuse for disrespect. We expect all users to treat fellow community members — whether they agree with them or not — with courtesy, professionalism, and basic human decency. Healthy debate is welcome; personal attacks, mockery, and harassment are not.
The welfare of horses and all equines is the foundational principle of this platform. Every listing, every transaction, every data submission, and every conversation on Helix Equine IQ must reflect a genuine commitment to the humane treatment of animals. If any action, content, or transaction could harm, exploit, or endanger an equine — it has no place in this community. See Section 10 for full animal welfare standards.
Helix Equine IQ's AI tools are only as trustworthy as the data and conduct behind them. We ask all users to be transparent about their use of AI-generated content, to disclose relevant information in marketplace transactions, and to refrain from any attempt to manipulate, game, or misrepresent the platform's analytics. Transparency builds confidence — in the platform, and in each other. See Section 7 for AI-specific guidelines.
Helix Equine IQ is a global platform, and our community reflects the full diversity of the equine world — across regions, experience levels, backgrounds, and perspectives. We are committed to being a welcoming, inclusive space for everyone. Discrimination, exclusion, or disparagement based on race, ethnicity, gender, nationality, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate enforcement action.
4. Marketplace Standards
The Helix Equine IQ marketplace connects buyers and sellers across the full spectrum of the equine industry. To protect the integrity of every transaction and the wellbeing of every animal involved, all marketplace participants must adhere to the following standards. These standards supplement and are governed by the Terms of Service.
Every listing on the Helix Equine IQ marketplace — whether for a horse, embryo, genetic material, equipment, or related service — must be truthful, accurate, and complete. Specifically:
- All photographs must be current, clearly representative of the > animal or item being sold, and unaltered in any material way. Do > not use photos of a different animal, outdated photos that > misrepresent current condition, or digitally manipulated images > that create a false impression.
- Health information, including known conditions, injuries, past > surgeries, and current medications, must be accurately disclosed.
- Age, bloodlines, breed registration status, and performance records > must be accurately and completely stated. Any known gaps or > uncertainties in documentation should be disclosed, not concealed.
- Listing titles and descriptions must not contain misleading claims, > exaggerations, or omissions that could deceive a reasonable buyer.
The price advertised in a listing is the price you intend to honor. Bait-and-switch pricing is prohibited. You may not advertise a horse or item at one price to generate interest and then substantially raise the price once a buyer makes contact, unless a clearly disclosed auction or bidding format is in place. If a price is listed as negotiable, that must be stated in the listing. Sellers are expected to engage with buyers in good faith regarding any agreed price or price range.
Sellers are required to disclose all known health conditions, including but not limited to: chronic conditions, lameness history, respiratory issues, neurological conditions, reproductive history relevant to breeding animals, and any history of colic or surgical intervention. Helix Equine IQ strongly encourages pre-purchase veterinary examinations, and sellers should cooperate fully with such examinations.
Misrepresentation of an animal's health status is a serious violation of these Guidelines and may constitute fraud under applicable law. Such violations will be reported to appropriate authorities and will result in immediate enforcement action up to and including permanent ban. See Section 13 for enforcement details.
The following types of listings are strictly prohibited and will be removed immediately upon discovery:
- Animals obtained illegally, including stolen horses or animals > obtained through fraudulent transactions
- Stolen property of any kind
- Listings that facilitate, enable, or are intended to enable animal > abuse, neglect, or inhumane treatment
- Counterfeit registrations, fabricated pedigrees, or falsified breed > documentation of any kind
- Animals intended for slaughter that are disguised as performance, > breeding, or companion sale listings
- Any item, substance, or product whose sale is prohibited under > applicable local, state, federal, or international law
Buyers also bear responsibilities within the marketplace. All buyers are expected to:
- Engage with sellers in good faith, with genuine intent to purchase > if inquiring about a listing
- Avoid wasting sellers' time with non-serious or purely speculative > inquiries when a listing is clearly marked as serious inquiries > only
- Honor the terms of any agreements reached with sellers, including > deposit arrangements, inspection timelines, and agreed purchase > price
- Conduct due diligence — including veterinary examination where > appropriate — before completing a purchase
- Communicate promptly and professionally when withdrawing from a > transaction
Disputes between buyers and sellers are an unfortunate reality in any marketplace. When they occur, we expect all parties to handle them through the platform's dispute resolution process, rather than through public posts, negative reviews posted in bad faith, or threats. Specifically:
- Do not publicly post private transaction details, communications, or > identifying information about another party during an active > dispute
- Do not threaten, harass, or publicly defame a buyer or seller as a > means of resolving a dispute
- Do not post retaliatory reviews during or immediately following an > unresolved dispute
- Contact Helix support at contact@helixequineiq.com if you need > assistance navigating the dispute process
5. Data Contribution Standards
Helix Equine IQ's AI analytics are powered by data contributed by our community. The quality, accuracy, and integrity of our platform's insights depend directly on the quality, accuracy, and integrity of what you submit. Data contributors hold a particularly important responsibility within this community.
All breeders and data contributors must submit only truthful, accurate, and verifiable equine data. This includes bloodline records, genetic test results, performance data, health histories, and any other information submitted to the platform's equine database. If you are uncertain about a data point, indicate that uncertainty rather than submitting a guess as fact.
Falsification of any kind is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to: fabricating or altering breeding records; submitting manipulated or fraudulent genetic test results; misrepresenting performance data; and creating false or altered registration or pedigree documentation. Falsification of data submitted to Helix Equine IQ may also constitute fraud under applicable law and will be referred to the appropriate authorities. See Section 13.
You may only submit data that you own, or for which you have explicit authorization from the data's owner or custodian. Submitting data about animals, bloodlines, or records belonging to another party without their consent is a violation of these Guidelines and may infringe third-party rights. If you are submitting data on behalf of another party or organization, ensure you have documented authorization to do so.
It is important that all data contributors understand the downstream impact of their submissions. The data you contribute directly feeds Helix Equine IQ's AI models, which generate analytics, rankings, and insights used by breeders, buyers, sellers, and trainers across the platform and around the world. Inaccurate or falsified data does not just affect one record — it degrades the quality of analytics for the entire community. When you submit truthful, high-quality data, you strengthen the platform for everyone. When you submit false or misleading data, you undermine the platform's mission and harm your fellow community members.
6. Respectful Communication
How we communicate with one another defines the character of this community. Helix Equine IQ is a professional platform, and we expect all communications — whether in private messages, public forums, or review submissions — to reflect that professionalism.
When contacting other users through the platform's messaging system, always communicate professionally and respectfully. Do not send unsolicited bulk messages, promotional spam, or repeated messages after a user has indicated they do not wish to continue the conversation. Messaging features are provided to facilitate legitimate marketplace inquiries and professional communication — they are not to be used for solicitation, harassment, or any form of abuse.
Our community forums and discussion boards exist to share knowledge, ask questions, celebrate achievements, and discuss topics relevant to the equine industry. We welcome vigorous, opinionated discussion — but it must remain constructive. The following conduct is prohibited in community forums:
- Trolling — posting content designed to provoke, upset, or derail a > discussion
- Personal attacks on other users, including insults, mockery, or > targeted ridicule
- "Flame wars" — prolonged, hostile exchanges that serve no > constructive purpose
- Off-topic posting that consistently disrupts the purpose of a forum > or board
- Posting false information about specific individuals, businesses, or > animals
The platform's review and rating system exists to give buyers and sellers reliable, experience-based feedback. All reviews must be honest, accurate, and based on genuine personal experience. The following are prohibited:
- Fake reviews — submitting reviews for transactions in which you > did not participate
- Review manipulation — soliciting, purchasing, or incentivizing > positive reviews, or coordinating negative reviews to harm a > competitor
- Retaliatory reviews — submitting a negative review in response to > a dispute, rather than on the basis of actual experience
- Reviews containing false factual statements about a seller, buyer, > animal, or listing
All content posted on the platform must maintain a respectful tone. The following language and conduct are prohibited across all platform areas:
- Profanity or obscene language used to demean, attack, or harass > other users
- Hate speech — language that attacks, degrades, or dehumanizes > individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, gender, > nationality, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, or > other protected characteristics
- Harassment — persistent, unwanted contact or conduct targeting a > specific user
- Targeted abuse — coordinated or individual campaigns to demean or > harm a specific user
7. AI Tools & Analytics — Responsible Use
Helix Equine IQ's AI-powered analytics are among the most powerful tools available to the equine industry. With that power comes responsibility. The following guidelines govern how users may interact with and represent our AI tools and outputs.
The analytics, rankings, recommendations, and insights generated by Helix Equine IQ's AI tools are intended to serve as one valuable input among many in your decision-making process. They are not a substitute for professional veterinary advice, legal counsel, or financial guidance. Always consult qualified professionals for decisions with significant health, legal, or financial implications. Helix Equine IQ makes no warranty regarding the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose of any AI-generated output.
You may not attempt to manipulate, game, exploit, or reverse-engineer the algorithms, models, or ranking systems underlying Helix Equine IQ's AI tools. This includes attempting to artificially inflate analytics scores, circumvent ranking systems, or systematically probe model behavior in order to exploit it. Such conduct harms the integrity of the platform for all users and may violate the Terms of Service and applicable law.
Submitting fabricated, manipulated, or misleading data with the intent to skew AI outputs, rankings, or analytics results in favor of a particular animal, seller, breeder, or bloodline is a serious violation of these Guidelines. This conduct amounts to a form of fraud against the community and will result in immediate enforcement action. See also Section 5.2.
When sharing or publishing AI-generated analytics, reports, or insights externally — in marketing materials, social media, trade publications, or elsewhere — you must disclose that the content was generated by AI analytics tools. Do not present AI-generated outputs as your own independent expert opinion or as the conclusions of a licensed professional. Transparency about AI use builds trust — in you, and in the industry.
Helix Equine IQ reserves the right to update, retrain, modify, or retire AI models at any time, and without prior notice, as part of our ongoing commitment to improving the platform's accuracy and reliability. As a result, AI-generated outputs may change over time — including scores, rankings, and analytical conclusions. Helix is not responsible for decisions made based on prior AI outputs that have since been updated.
8. Intellectual Property & Content Ownership
Helix Equine IQ respects intellectual property rights and expects all users to do the same. By posting content on the platform, you represent that you have the right to do so, and you accept responsibility for ensuring that your content does not infringe the rights of any third party.
You may only post photographs, videos, documents, written content, and other materials on Helix Equine IQ if you own those materials or have obtained a valid license or permission from the rights holder. This applies to all areas of the platform, including listings, profiles, forums, and reviews. Do not post photographs of horses or properties that belong to others without explicit permission.
You may not reproduce, copy, republish, redistribute, or commercially exploit another user's listings, photographs, descriptions, or other posted content without their express written permission. Scraping or systematically collecting other users' content — by automated means or otherwise — is prohibited. If you wish to share another user's content, obtain their permission and provide appropriate attribution.
All platform features, design elements, AI models, software, branding, and content created by or for Helix Equine IQ are the intellectual property of Evalyn LLC. You may not scrape, copy, replicate, or commercially exploit any platform features, design, or proprietary content without Helix's express written authorization. Unauthorized use of Helix's intellectual property may result in legal action in addition to enforcement under these Guidelines.
If you believe that content posted on Helix Equine IQ infringes your intellectual property rights, or if you have other IP-related concerns, please contact us at contact@helixequineiq.com. Include a description of the content in question, the nature of your rights, and your contact information. We take IP concerns seriously and will investigate all reports in good faith.
9. Privacy & Personal Information
Protecting the privacy of our community members is a core responsibility we take seriously. In addition to the obligations set out in our Privacy Policy, users are expected to respect the privacy of other users at all times. We encourage you to review the full Privacy Policy to understand how Helix Equine IQ collects, uses, and protects your personal data.
Do not publicly disclose another user's personal contact information — including phone numbers, email addresses, home or business addresses, or financial information — without that user's explicit consent. Even if you have legitimately obtained this information through a private transaction or communication, sharing it publicly is a violation of this community's trust and may expose you to legal liability.
You may not use any means — automated or manual — to systematically collect, harvest, or compile personal information about other users from the platform. This includes scraping contact information, building profiles of users without their knowledge, or aggregating user data for any commercial or non-commercial purpose not expressly authorized by Helix Equine IQ.
Do not post the financial details of private transactions — including sale prices, payment arrangements, contract terms, or bank or payment account information — in public forums, comments, or any publicly visible area of the platform. Disputes involving financial matters should be handled through the platform's private dispute resolution process. See Section 4.6.
For complete information about how Helix Equine IQ collects, processes, stores, and protects your personal data — and your rights in relation to that data — please refer to our Privacy Policy, available on the platform. If you have questions about your privacy rights, contact us at contact@helixequineiq.com.
10. Animal Welfare Standards
Horse welfare is not simply a rule on this platform — it is the reason this platform exists. Every decision we make as a company, and every standard we set for our community, begins with the question of what is best for the animals in our care. We hold this principle above commercial considerations, and we expect our community to do the same.
Helix Equine IQ is unconditionally committed to the humane treatment of all equines. We will not knowingly facilitate, enable, or profit from any activity that causes unnecessary suffering or harm to horses or other equine animals. This commitment shapes our platform policies, our enforcement practices, and our culture.
Content depicting, glorifying, or facilitating animal abuse, neglect, torture, or inhumane treatment of any kind is strictly prohibited across all areas of the platform. This includes photographs, videos, written descriptions, and links to external content. Such content will be removed immediately upon discovery, and the responsible account will be subject to immediate enforcement action.
Any listing or communication that appears to facilitate animal cruelty — including but not limited to: sales for the purpose of slaughter disguised as performance or companion sales, listings for animals in conditions of evident neglect or abuse, or offers to supply horses for inhumane use — will be removed from the platform. Where there is reasonable basis to believe that a crime has been committed or is being facilitated, Helix Equine IQ will report the matter to appropriate law enforcement or animal welfare authorities.
If you encounter content, listings, or conduct on the platform that raises animal welfare concerns, please report it immediately using the platform's reporting tools or by emailing contact@helixequineiq.com. You do not need to be certain that a violation has occurred — if something does not look right, report it. Every report is reviewed. See Section 12 for full reporting information.
11. Prohibited Conduct — Zero Tolerance
The following behaviors represent the most serious violations of our Community Guidelines and our shared values. They will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Any account found to have engaged in zero-tolerance conduct is subject to immediate suspension or permanent ban, without prior warning, at Helix Equine IQ's sole discretion. Where applicable, such conduct will also be referred to law enforcement.
⚠ Zero-Tolerance Violations > • Fraud, scams, or impersonation — including impersonating > another user, business, organization, or Helix Equine IQ staff; > conducting purchase scams or payment fraud; or misrepresenting your > identity or credentials for personal gain > > • Posting false pedigrees, forged health certificates, or > fabricated registration papers — submission or use of any > fraudulent documentation related to an equine's identity, health, > lineage, or registration status > > • Harassment, threats, or stalking — any conduct that places > another user in reasonable fear for their safety, or that > constitutes systematic targeting, intimidation, or unwanted pursuit > of another individual > > • Hate speech or discrimination — language, content, or > conduct that attacks, demeans, or dehumanizes individuals or groups > based on race, ethnicity, gender, nationality, religion, age, > disability, sexual orientation, or other protected characteristics > > • Unauthorized access or hacking — any attempt to gain > unauthorized access to platform systems, user accounts, databases, > or infrastructure; exploiting security vulnerabilities; or > interfering with platform operations > > • Spam, phishing, or distributing malware — sending > unsolicited bulk messages, impersonating legitimate communications > to steal credentials or personal information, or distributing > malicious software through the platform > > • Facilitating illegal transactions — including sales or > transfers of stolen animals, distribution of unlicensed or > controlled pharmaceuticals, wildlife trafficking, or any other > transaction that violates applicable local, state, federal, or > international law > > • Child exploitation or illegal content of any kind — any > content that sexually exploits minors, or any other content that is > illegal under applicable law, is absolutely prohibited and will be > reported to law enforcement immediately
This list represents the most egregious categories of prohibited conduct, but it is not exhaustive. Helix Equine IQ reserves the right to determine, in its sole discretion, that any conduct not listed above nonetheless warrants enforcement action under these Guidelines or the Terms of Service.
12. Reporting Violations
Every member of this community plays a role in keeping Helix Equine IQ safe, honest, and welcoming. If you encounter conduct, content, or listings that you believe violate these Community Guidelines, we encourage you to report it. You do not need to be certain of a violation — if something concerns you, let us know.
You can report violations using the following methods:
- In-platform reporting tools: Use the "Report" button or link > available on listings, user profiles, messages, forum posts, and > reviews to submit a report directly through the platform > interface.
- Email: Send a detailed report to contact@helixequineiq.com. > Please include the nature of the concern, a description of the > content or conduct, any relevant usernames or listing identifiers, > and any supporting information you have available.
All reports submitted in good faith will be reviewed by our trust and safety team. Upon receipt of a report, you can expect the following:
- Acknowledgment of your report (for email submissions) within a > reasonable timeframe
- Review of the reported content or conduct against these Guidelines > and the Terms of Service
- Appropriate enforcement action taken where a violation is confirmed > — see Section 13
- Where legally permissible, notification to the reporting user of the > outcome of the review
Please note that due to privacy obligations, we may not be able to share full details of enforcement actions taken against another user.
Helix Equine IQ is committed to investigating all reports thoroughly, fairly, and without bias. We take each report seriously, regardless of the account type or standing of the party being reported. No user is above these Guidelines.
Users who submit reports in good faith will not face adverse action from Helix Equine IQ as a result of their report. If you believe you have been subjected to retaliation by another user following a good-faith report, please notify us immediately at contact@helixequineiq.com. Retaliatory conduct by other users is itself a violation of these Guidelines.
13. Enforcement & Consequences
Helix Equine IQ takes enforcement of these Community Guidelines seriously. When violations occur, we respond proportionately and consistently — taking into account the severity and nature of the conduct, whether it is a first or repeated offense, and the potential harm caused to other users, animals, or the platform. All enforcement decisions are made at Helix's sole discretion and in accordance with the Terms of Service.
For minor, first-time, or unintentional violations — such as an inadvertently off-topic forum post, a listing with a minor inaccuracy, or a communication that falls short of our tone expectations — we may issue a formal written warning. Warnings are documented and taken into account in future enforcement decisions. Repeated conduct that results in multiple warnings will escalate to more serious enforcement measures.
Content that violates these Guidelines — including listings, posts, messages, reviews, photographs, or profile content — may be removed from the platform with or without prior notice. Users will typically be notified of content removals and the reason for the removal, except where notification would compromise an ongoing investigation or is otherwise not appropriate.
For more serious violations, repeated offenses, or conduct that poses a risk of harm to other users or animals, Helix may temporarily restrict or suspend access to the platform. The duration of a temporary suspension will depend on the nature and severity of the violation. During a suspension period, the user may not access platform features, post new content, or conduct marketplace transactions.
Permanent bans are imposed for: zero-tolerance violations (see Section 11); serious, repeated, or escalating violations that demonstrate a pattern of disregard for community standards; violations that cause significant harm to other users, animals, or the integrity of the platform; or other conduct that, in Helix's sole discretion, warrants permanent removal from the community. A permanently banned user may not create new accounts to circumvent the ban — attempted evasion of a ban is itself a violation that will be treated with the utmost seriousness.
Where conduct on the platform may constitute a crime under applicable local, state, federal, or international law — including but not limited to fraud, animal cruelty, harassment, stalking, child exploitation, or unauthorized computer access — Helix Equine IQ reserves the right to refer the matter to appropriate law enforcement authorities and to cooperate fully with any resulting investigation. Enforcement under these Guidelines does not preclude legal action.
If you believe an enforcement action taken against your account was made in error, you may appeal the decision within 14 calendar days of receiving notice of the enforcement action. To submit an appeal, contact us at contact@helixequineiq.com with the subject line "Enforcement Appeal" and include your account information, a description of the enforcement action, and the basis for your appeal. Helix will review your appeal and respond within a reasonable timeframe. Helix Equine IQ's decision on appeal is final.
Note on Enforcement Discretion All enforcement decisions are made at Helix Equine IQ's sole discretion and in accordance with the Terms of Service. These Guidelines describe our general approach to enforcement; they do not create an obligation to follow any particular enforcement step in any particular sequence, or to provide advance notice before taking any action necessary to protect the platform and its community.
14. Updates to These Guidelines
Helix Equine IQ is a growing platform in a dynamic industry. As our platform evolves, these Community Guidelines may be updated to reflect new features, community needs, legal requirements, or lessons learned from our ongoing work. We are committed to keeping these Guidelines current and to communicating changes to you clearly.
How we notify you of changes: When these Guidelines are updated, we will notify you by email to the address associated with your account and/or via in-platform notification. The notification will include the effective date of the updated Guidelines and, for material changes, a summary of what has changed.
Continued use constitutes acceptance: Your continued use of the Helix Equine IQ platform following the effective date of any updated Guidelines constitutes your acceptance of the updated version. If you do not agree with the updated Guidelines, you should cease using the platform and, if applicable, close your account in accordance with the Terms of Service.
Material changes: For changes that materially affect your rights or obligations as a community member, we will take additional steps to bring those changes to your attention — including in-platform banners, highlighted summaries, or other prominent notice. We encourage you to review these Guidelines periodically, even if you have not received a notice of update.
The most current version of these Community Guidelines will always be available on the Helix Equine IQ platform.
